The Coppell Chamber of Commerce’s Working Well in Coppell committee has an amazing lineup of speakers for this year’s Women’s Healthcare Panel.
Put your health first and join us as this esteemed group of physicians share their expertise in their chosen specialties in a Q&A format:
Dr. Samiha Alam - Pediatrician at MD Pediatric Associates
Dr. Samiha Alam is a doctor of osteopathic medicine, specializing in pediatrics. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology at the University of Texas in Dallas in 2011. She attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center- Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine, from where she graduated in 2015. She completed her pediatric residency in 2018 at the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. Dr. Alam offers her perspective on postpartum/newborns, how to choose a pediatrician, lactation support and other resources for new mothers.
Dr. Linh Huynh - Emergency Medicine at Coppell ER
Linh Huynh, MD, a New Orleans native and LSU alumni, is a FM board certified physician, who has practiced in emergency medicine for more than 15 years. She is a natural leader, served as chief resident and then as area medical director in her previous employment. She is a part of TMA, AAFP and ABFM societies. Her patients appreciate her thoroughness and great bedside manner. She is an advocate for patient education and tailoring her treatments to each individual patient. In addition to English, she’s fluent in Vietnamese. In her free time, Dr. Huynh enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Professionally, her life’s goal is to be more active in providing healthcare and education to underserved communities, locally and overseas.
Dr. Divya Javvaji – Geriatrician, Internist at Prime MD Plus
Dr. Divya Javvaji is a board-certified Internist and Geriatrician with the American Board of Internal Medicine. She completed her residency at NorthWell hospital in New York and her fellowship training in Geriatrics at Yale-New Haven Bridgeport Hospital in Connecticut. Dr. Javvaji is trained to treat the adult patient population with multiple medical conditions in acute and chronic settings.
Dr. Zarina Sharalaya - Cardiologist at Medical City
Dr. Zarina Sharalaya joined North Texas Heart Center, located on multiple campuses across the Medical City Healthcare system, in 2022 after completing her interventional and structural cardiology fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. She earned her Medical Degree at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. She then went on to complete a residency in internal medicine at the University of North Carolina, followed by a fellowship in cardiovascular medicine at Cleveland Clinic Foundation. Dr. Sharalaya is board certified in Internal Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, General Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has served in various leadership roles for the ACC, on the fellows council and the Diversity & Inclusion Committee. She is passionate about mentoring female trainees who are pursuing a career in cardiology, to bridge the gender gap that exists in cardiology.
