Annual Red Ribbon Breakfast
The 27th Annual Red Ribbon Kick-Off Breakfast on Friday, October 21, 7:30 am - 9:00 am at the beautiful Brookhaven Country Club in Farmers Branch. This nationwide program encourages students to live with FREEDOM from DRUGS.
The Red Ribbon Story. Enrique “Kiki’ Camarena grew up with hopes and dreams of making a difference. He worked his way through college, served in the Marines and became a police officer. While working undercover for the DEA in Mexico, Camarena was tortured and killed by drug traffickers. To honor Camarena’s memory and work, parents began the Red Ribbon Campaign in 1988 as an effort to protect children from the dangers of drugs.
