Event Description:
After the most unprecedented 15 months in recent history, Texans are eager to learn the forecast for our economy moving forward. Join us for our State of the Economy luncheon, sponsored by the City of Coppell and Caviness Wealth Management, on Thursday, Sept. 9 with keynote speaker Christopher Slijk.
 
Slijk is an associate economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. As a member of the Research Department’s regional group, Slijk’s work focuses on economic growth in Texas and the 11th Federal Reserve District. He coordinates the production and written releases of the Dallas Fed’s Texas Service Sector and Retail Outlook Surveys. He also produces articles for various bank publications and academic journals. His background includes work in time-series forecasting, real-time data analysis and regional economic development. He's a Certified Business Economist by the National Association of Business Economics and holds a bachelor's in economics from Cornell University.
