Marzett’s commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the workplace is a trademark of her 39-year career with Mercedes-Benz Financial Services. She is a distinguished contributor to the company’s Global Diversity Council. Because of her tireless work progressing diversity and inclusion, in 2015 Janet was honored as “Executive of the Year” at the 19th Annual Urban Wheel Awards in Detroit, Michigan.  More recently, she was named one of Savoy Magazine’s 2016 Top Influential Women in Corporate America. Janet is an active member within the Global Summit of Women, previously held in France, Brazil, Poland and Japan.

She began her career in 1980 in an administrative role as a Cashier. She attended the University of Texas and earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing. Upon graduation, she worked her way through 18 increasingly responsible and managerial positions including collections, sales, retail, and dealer credit. Prior to her current role as Operations Manager, she served as Vice President of Human Resources and Administrative Services. Another one of her more notable roles was Zone Manager in Kansas City, where she was the first African American to hold that position in the U.S.

Today, she has regional responsibility for approximately 700 people in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.  Janet Marzett is the second female to date on the executive leadership team, known as the Operations Committee for the Americas region and the highest-ranking African-American in Daimler Financial Services, AG.
